Bharat Sikka — Fashion Eye Rajasthan | Industry Art

Bharat Sikka’s uniquely playful vision of the Land of Kings, Rajasthan, for the Louis Vuitton Fashion Eye Collection. Renowned for blending the ordinary with the magical, Sikka creates layered visual narratives with a deliberate choice of colour, inspired by his master Raghubir Singh. Here, his lens navigates India’s duality, capturing the 'chaos' and coexistence of slums and palaces, plastic and fabric and elephants and bikes. Choosing reinvention over description, Sikka's art defies folkloric clichés. Instead, he adopts Philip-Lorca diCorcia's authentic yet staged approach, injecting fiction into his street scenes via drawings and textures.
